What is a wood stain?
A wood stain allows you to see the grain of the wood through the treatment that you have just applied. The advantage of seeing the wood grain is especially required on timber such as Cedar, Oak, Elm, and other hardwoods. This allows their natural beauty to shine through whilst still being protected against the elements.
What is a wood paint?
A wood paint is especially for those looking to change the colour of the timber. This is quite popular when doing a garden makeover, however you may still see the grain of the timber on some products. Additional coats will create a more opaque finish, however the more expensive paints will require less coats and provide a superior look.
What about Indoor Wood Paint
Acrylic paint is the most commonly used indoor wood paint as it has very little odour and is quick-drying. The water-based formula of these paints means that most contain less toxic ingredients than other types of paint.
